ABOUT — THE FOXWHOLE
Who I Am
My name’s Holden Foxwell, though around here most folks already know me by one name or another.
I grew up in these mountains, learned the land the same way I learned people — slow, steady, and with both eyes open. I’m not hiding behind a keyboard. I’m just using it as the cleanest way to keep a record of the work I do.
I’m an investigator by trade and by temperament.
Some of that work is straightforward: paper trails, bad actors, missing folks, and the kind of trouble that grows quiet in small towns.
Some of it… doesn’t fit neatly into a police report.
What This Site Is
The Foxwhole is my running ledger — part case file, part field journal, part Life & Times of a man who’s seen more than he talks about.
This isn’t a news site.
It isn’t a ghost‑hunting blog.
It isn’t a gossip mill.
It’s a place where I put the things I can’t keep in my head anymore.
Some posts will be investigations.
Some will be community cases.
Some will be field notes — the kind of moments mountain folks understand without needing an explanation.
The air shifts.
The silence gets heavy.
Old work leaves a mark.
Some families run sensitive, and mine’s one of them.
I don’t dress it up.
I don’t apologize for it.
I just tell it the way it happened.
Why I Do This
Because too many stories go untold.
Because too many families get ignored.
Because too many people don’t have anyone in their corner.
Because the land remembers even when people don’t.
I’m not here to convince anybody of anything.
Believe me or don’t — I’m just reporting my life as I live it.
